  • To use natural plant based ingredients as much as possible
  • To use locally sourced ingredients
  • To support smaller manufacturers in the production of good quality products; producers who are experts in their field, who provide stable local employment
  • To have a minimal number of ingredients in our products
  • To investigate eco friendly packaging options and if possible eliminate the use of plastic, or if no alternatives are viable to use recycled and recyclable plastic

Here are some of the ingredients that we use regularly in our products:

Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil is a highly saturated oil made from raw Coconut and has a number of beneficial properties for skin: it is high in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and very moisturising.

Glycerine

Glycerine, also known as glycerine or glycerol, is a natural humectant (or moisturising agent) that works by drawing in and retaining moisture in the upper layer of your skin. It is made naturally during the soap making process. Some soap manufacturers remove the glycerin to use in more expensive products like skin creams. We not only leave it in our soap but also add extra. It is a super moisturiser and has a big impact on soothing sore and irritated hands. It helps to moisturise and care for your skin.

Peppermint

Peppermint essential oil is one of the most multi-purpose versatile essential oils with uses in the kitchen, general wellbeing as well as medicinal. The essential oil is known to ease muscle pain and inflammation with a pleasant cooling and warming sensation on the skin. It is antibacterial, astringent and antiseptic. The scent is invigorating and energising as well as soothing. We love it because of its fresh sharp wake-me up scent and its extra cleansing properties.

Tea Tree

Tea Tree Oil from the leaves of the Tea Tree has a clean and soothing characteristic scent. It is a powerful antiseptic and kills bacteria, viruses and fungi. It also has a natural anti-inflammatory action. It can treat wounds, provide soothing relief for aches and pains and promote a sense of calm.
